Le hell…Why is ISML so torturous when it comes to choosing people?
WAAAAH TT^TT Meiko didn’t make it, how the hell is this possible? As expected, Azunyan, Mio and Yui won. I feel sorry for Tsumugi and Index though. Eucliwood and Erio made it through. Uhm, C.C not getting past the first round was expected because, um, you know? She has more badass character than moe, I mean, seriously. The couple that was obviously going to win was the Clannad pair, duh. Well, waiting eagerly for Round 2. Sayonara!
Aaah, I feel like a huge burden has been lifted off my shoulders because JOE Jack Jonas has finally set me free…Meh, found this awesome blog with lots of reviews and I’m considering watching Kobato or reading some manga again. Frankly, I’m just not in the mood to do anything. Maybe I should just get back to finishing up a chapter of my Sisters Grimm fanfiction (¬_¬)ﾉ Here’s the cover I made. I spent about 3 hours looking for the pictures themselves and another 45 minutes editing the whole thing over again because stupid Shockwave plug-in thingy crashed again. I shall identify the characters for you, starting with the male blonde on the left, Puck and in the middle, Sabrina. The girl with the white hat, long black hair and file/book is Genna. The people at the bottom left are Veronica, Henry and Daphne Grimm. And moving on to the Guardians, the brown-haired guy on Sabrina’s left, Gary. The guy next to Genna is Paul and the girl next to him is Isikara. The pink-haired twins behind them are Saffron and Rose. The last two, the pale blonde-haired girl is Rebecca and the redhead is Julie. SO, SO, WHAT DO YOU THINK?
To be honest, I realised I’ve never really gotten over this manga. It might fall slightly under the smut category but the storyline is beautiful, along with the characters. I also came to love the drawing style of the mangaka. I found this review that expresses my feelings perfectly :
Anatolia Story or Red River is one of the few manga that transcends the boundaries of time. It is indeed a timeless classic that is bound to captivate the reader’s attention. It is certainly one of the best manga out there who can cope up with the fast paced innovation in the manga industry.
The story starts with a simple girl named Yuri, she is transported to the Hittites Empire by the evil queen because her blood is needed as a sacrifice in order to kill the other remaining prince. She was constantly saved by Prince Kail, a handsome and smart young man. Prince Kail is capable of inheriting the position of his father and is bound to be the next king. The two of them together are destined for greatness as they conquer the obstructions set by Queen Nakia and other villains!
I personally believe that what makes this story different from any usual historical manga is the uniqueness of the characters. Without a doubt the heroine of the story is one of the bravest and strongest women in the history of manga in the sense of keen observations, perspectives, beliefs, principles and tactics. Commoners and nobles are captivated by Yuri “Ishtar” through her willingness and eagerness to help. What I admire the most is the evolution of the characteristics of the heroine “Yuri”. At first Yuri is a naïve, stupid and a helpless girl but as the story unfolds you can see the evolution of a goddess within…
Words are really not enough to define the characteristics of each character because uniqueness is apparent throughout the series. You’ll unconsciously love the characters as they respond to the challenges that awaits them. The romance in story is unlike the typical cliché in the manga because you’ll be drawn to the characteristics of Prince Kail. His unique attributes that complements the heroine brings out the incomparable passion that is bound to be tested.
The manga Anatolia Story is a classic manga that will never bore a reader. This is the only manga that I constantly read and the essence and glow of the story is still apparent. The drawing may not complement the usual modern era but I assure you that it complements the traditional innocent charm of each characters. The sequence of the story unfolds the boundary of love and governance. There are tragic moments and unexpected twist that will captivate the reader’s mind. It is one of the few manga out there who possess the undeniably complement of the genre like shoujo, historical, romance, adventure, action and drama.
*** I’m not that good in writing a review so kindly spare me.

DO YOU SEE THAT?! DO YOU SEE THAT?! Yeah, I know, my first post after a long time. I really want to review this manga called Papillon but back to this : I’m not interested in watching this yet but…MAKINO AND SEKIME?! THEY LOOK SO GOOD IN THIS!!! KYAAAAAAAAA Yup, the guy who acted as Sekime in Hana Kimi and the actress who was Tsukushi Makino in Hana Yori Dango. KYA KYA is all I want to scream right now but I want to read another manga like Papillon. I just finished reading “Crazy Girl Shin Bia”. Thanks to my classmate’s persistence, I gave in and started with Goong. I seriously believe that troll faces originated from Korea =.= Chae-Gyung’s expressions prove this O_O Back to my point, I WILL COME TO A POINT WHERE I WILL READ THIS MANGA AND THEN WATCH THE LIVE ACTION. HOHOHO
As You Wish by Jackson Pearce
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This book was really amusing and sweet, I haven’t really read many books about wishing but this one was great. The ending really satisfied me and I’m rating this 4.5. That missing 0.5 was because I was sometimes confused when Jinn’s and Viola’s POVs switched. It took a little time to get adjusted a few times but other than that, it was really awesome. For once, you get to understand the guy’s viewpoint on this. The love developed wonderfully and what’s more, Lawrence remained a good friend of Viola’s even after they broke-up. I love how he and Jinn became friends as well and the three of them together are like, the perfect circle of friends. So, in case you haven’t realised yet, I LOVE LOVE LOVED this book. And totally recommend it.
The Council of Mirrors by Michael Buckley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I have no doubts this was the best book, despite the fact that it was the last. I even cried, I can’t believe this series is over. Sabrina’s battle with Mirror was really sweet and I was so happy it ended just like that. (view spoiler) I loved the ending, don’t worry, it won’t leave you disappointed. Everything was described so beautifully and I really enjoyed this book the most. I recommend you to read the entire series, it won’t disappoint, trust me.
